Some Lay’s Classic Potato Chips are not safe to eat. The company Frito-Lay is recalling some bags. These chips may have milk, but the label does not say “milk.” Some people are allergic to milk. You can be allergic to something you eat, breathe or touch. If they eat these chips, some people can get very sick.

Some people are allergic to dogs, plants, or bees. But Nathan is allergic to the first day of the week.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) says this is very serious. They call it a “Class 1” recall. This means eating the chips can be very dangerous. People with milk allergies can have strong reactions. Some reactions can be life-threatening. If something is a threat, then it is likely to cause harm, damage or even death.

The chips were sold in Washington and Oregon. The problem was found in December. A customer told the company about the milk. A customer is someone who buys things from a shop or a business. The company then decided to take the chips back. So far, no one has reported getting sick.
