If Looks Could Kill!
A German woman thought that the solutions to her problems was to murder someone who looked liked her. Read and/or listen to see what happens.
Two Women Who Look the Same
In Germany, two women looked very similar. One woman, Sharaban, saw the other woman, Khadijah, on Instagram. They had the same hair, face, complexion and makeup. Your complexion is the natural color and condition of your skin, especially of the face. Sharaban had many finical problems and problems with her family so she wanted to disappear. That’s when she made a plan to fake her own death.
There are many different complexions in the world. Some are light and some are dark but most are in between the two.
Her Evil Plan
Using Instagram, Sharaban made many fake Instagram accounts. Then Sharaban wrote to Khadijah online. At first, with one fake account, Sharaban claimed to be a rapper (the rapper’s name is Lune) that saw Khadijah’s account and wanted her to be in his next video! Khadijah didn’t believe it. Later, with another account, Sharaban said she wanted to give her beauty products. Khadijah believed her and agreed to meet. On the day of the meeting, Sharaban and her boyfriend picked up Khadijah in a car. Here, the phrase “pick up” means to get or bring someone or something from somewhere. Then they drove to a quiet place in the forest.
I told my friend to pick up some lunch for us today and he came with the whole restaurant! When it’s time to eat, he doesn’t play.
A Terrible Crime
In the forest, Sharaban and her boyfriend attacked Khadijah. They stabbed her more than 50 times! She died from the attack. Her face was badly mangled. When something is mangled it is damaged badly by cutting, crushing, or tearing apart. They put her body in the back of the car and left it in the city.
After the accident, both cars were mangled (especially the blue one). So imagine what they did to that woman’s face to make her, according to the newspapers, “unrecognizable”!!
A Big Surprise
Initially, police thought the dead woman was Sharaban. Inatially means at first or in the beginning. It was hard to know who the woman was because her face was so badly mangled. But later, through her fingerprints and the woman’s DNA they found out the truth. The dead woman was Khadijah. The police started an investigation.
Initially, Lukas didn’t want to live in his new castle in the clouds because of the bad internet. Now he loves it and visits it often.
The End of the Plan
The police checked Sharaban’s Instagram messages. They learned Sharaban made fake instagram accounts then searched for and talked to many women who looked like her. She plotted everything. Here, the word plot means a secret plan made by several people to do something wrong or illegal. The police arrested Sharaban and her boyfriend the next day as they were eating pizza. They are now in jail and waiting for trial.
The two boys had a plot: take all the world’s toys and cookies for themselves - by force if necessary!!
Bonus: Today’s Idiom
For my more advanced readers, why did Sharaban think the only solution to her problems was to fake her death?! And why would she think that killing a woman would be the solution that she was looking for? Tell me what you think in the comments below. Couldn’t she fake her death in other ways? Yes, there are many other ways she could she have faked her death. Why kill someone? Also, how did she get her boyfriend to agree to help her murder then mutilate an innocent person? To me, in reality Sharaban was “a nightmare dressed as a daydream!”
The idiom, “a nightmare dressed as a daydream” means that a person was initially sweet and kind but their reality is actually evil. Likewise, an idea may seem like a good one in the beginning, but the results are only negative. I’ll give an example of this in the comments. I want you to try too.
