The attack happened in Uttar Pradesh. The man used a sickle to cut his wife’s stomach. The baby did not survive, and the woman was taken to the hospital in serious condition. The police arrested the man.

To my more advanced readers, I have never - ever - in my life, heared of anything even close to this. Why wasn’t this man executed for the murder of his unborn child and the vicious assault with a deadly weapon on his wife? To me, at least, this was attempted murder of the mother. The man hated to have girls, so after the fifth he lost his patience. Narrated by Muslim (2631) The Messenger of Allaah said, “Whoever takes care of two girls, he and I will enter Paradise like these two” and he gestured with his two fingers. How much good has this man lost? Firstly not having his faith based on atTawheed and asSunnah in Islaam, secondly by killing his chance - literally killing - his chance of entering Jannah. Finally, I feel like the judge gave this man only a slap on the wrist for his horrible crime.
The idiom “a slap on the wrist” means that someone has almost no consequences for a major crime.
