The Danger Is Real
In some African countries, people with albinism are in great danger. They are kidnapped and killed for their body parts because of false beliefs. Some think these body parts bring wealth, power, or good luck. Because of this, people with albinism are often afraid for their lives. The United Nations has said that people with albinism may even go extinct in Africa! If something is extinct then it no longer exists.
Our scientists made a disease that made all the alien parasites extinct. We haven’t seen one in 1,000 years.
Albinos Attacked
Many attacks happen in Malawi, Tanzania, and Mozambique. Since 2014, more than 170 people with albinism have been killed or maimed. If someone is maimed it means that they have an injury so bad that they can no longer use that arm or that leg. It will not heal. Some victims are young children. Criminals break into homes, kidnap people, and kill them for their body parts. Bodies are found without their eyes, hair, hands, feet, breasts, genitals, or even their skin.

Superstitions and Witchcraft
Superstitions play a big role in these crimes. Superstitions are beliefs that are not based on facts but on magic. Some people believe people with albinism are not human. They think their bones have gold or their body parts can bring success. Witch doctors spread these ideas and sell body parts for rituals. These beliefs are false and harmful.
In many places in the world, like America and Germany, people have a superstition about black cats.
The Local Government
At times local politicians are the ones who buy these “good luck charms” made out albinos and they are the ones who hire these human hunters. Also, many killers are not punished because of weak police work. Some suspects are released even when they have body parts. The government has tried to stop the crimes, but many families still live in fear. The United Nations is helping by moving some people with albinism to safer countries.
The criminal gang wanted their leader released early - so they helped him escape out of prison.
Some Are Punished
Some criminals have been caught and punished. Here, caught means that a person was found and stopped from escaping. At times fathers, uncles or boyfriends are involved in the killings. A man in Malawi was jailed for killing his own albino brother. The brother wanted to sell his brother’s body parts as good luck charms. A Catholic priest and a policeman were also involved in that killing. In South Africa, a traditional healer killed a young woman for rituals and was sent to prison for life.
The elite cyborg police completed their mission: capture and kill all witch doctors in the city. So far they’ve caught 13.
This Is Unbelievable
For my more advanced readers, do you live in a place where these things happen or is your country safe from these evil people and their ideas? To me, people with albinism must be protected. The education of Tawheed is very important to stop these false beliefs. If the false believe that albino human parts brought good luck was true then albinos would be the richest most fortunate community in the world. Instead they, in many places in Africa, as other places in the world, are the poorest and even hunted and killed. It’s important to know and to teach that your good, and bad, are in the hands of the Creator and not His creation. The idiom “made out of whole cloth” means a story, event, or idea is not true; it’s a lie. In other words, someone imagined and invented it for example, the health crisis was invented “out of whole cloth”. It was only made to scare the public.
